I received an email from yourselves regarding a free service upgrade a few months back. As of today (22-Jul-2005), according to the Control Panel on My PIPEX this has not taken place. I was wondering if this is still on the cards, and if so, when this upgrade will take place.
As an aside, an article on BIOS Magazine’s site stated that BT have begun to make 2Mb broadband standard for all of their customers (http://www.biosmagazine.co.uk/article.php?id=1834).
Is this a strategy yourselves will be taking up?Thanks in advance,
Michael S. Clark.
Dear PIPEX Customer,
Thank you for your recent e-mail.
At present we are awaiting further information from BT with regards to the upgrades being performed on your exchange to enable faster download rates for your connection.
Once we have the information, rest assured that we will communicate this to you as soon as possible.
Due to unexpected high volumes, BT are running slightly behind schedule, and this is causing a delay for all broadband customers across all ISP’s.
As originally proposed, all upgrades are due to be completed by August 2005.
If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us.
