It seems that a few people are having all sorts of different problems. I'm not so bothered about sending it back, partly because I've done it before and party because I do trust Microsoft, despite everything that has happened. Their customer service has been good through out. Hopefully not long now... Thanks T.

It's sorted now though, the HD was just not connected right (yet the HD still worked throughout which was strange). With all the reports of dodgy machines and overheating powerpacks, I was scared to leave mine plugged in at the wall at first but am beginning to trust it (also, I got peed off trying to work out my last save in a game as the battery backed-up clock would run down by the next night and so all the saves I made the previous night had apparently been made on the 22/11/2005! :) ) I know your's is a different and much more serious problem than my friends, but hang in there matey, you know it will be worth it, and hopefully when "Saints Row" comes out you'll be saying "Grand Theft what?"! ;) It’s scary, my mate had problems with his when he got it but was didn’t want to send it for repair incase he never got it back for donkeys so he soldiered on with a flakey machine.
