My sister-in-law’s car got torched by some knobend on Monday night.
The annoying thing is that because my brother is in the RAF, they live in married quarters on the base. There was an airshow on the day of the incident and the MP patrol that normally looks after the billets was called off to guard the planes on the tarmac. The quarters are is inside the fence, and the area in which the airshow was taking place is inside that area and behind another fence, so what good that was supposed to do, I don’t know.
It looks like it was the same guy who has done a similar sort of thing NINE times before. He is in the forces but they can’t (or won’t) do something about it.
She has written a v.snotty letter to the Station Commander and various staff in the each of the police forces involved so hopefully something will happen.According to the Military Police on the base, security was handed over to the civilian police, but all of the THREE forces from which one should have responsibility are pointing to each other saying “not us, try them”.
