July 25th, 2006 As you may or may not be aware, the Open Golf Championship in coming to Carnoustie next year and, as in previous years, the rental market for the week of the event is beginning to hot up.
Now when I say hotting up, I mean hotter than the surface of the Sun, hotting up, as you can see by this advertisement in a local property search.
Just in case you missed the point of that last link, they are asking £50,000 to stay the week in the same town as Tiger Woods will be staying.
Fifty thousand pounds.
For the week.
Mmmm.
And they are by no means the only ones who are cashing in on idiotic visitors with bottomless credit limits.
You should think about renting out your house during the open.
