Sony r00ts it’s EU Customer Base

Date February 26th, 2007

The Euro model will be designed differently from the US and software will take over some of the functionality that was originally taken care of by dedicated chips. Dedicated chips cost a bit more than software so Sony is actually skimping its EU customers despite charging them more.

But the result is that if EU people were hoping that their PS2 games will run on the PS3 you might be out of luck.

I’ve stopped having to comment about this over-priced, faisco-ridden, DOA glorified Blu-Ray player. Sony seem to be trying to kill off any launch excitement about it themselves.

Boo to the $ony!!!!! :)

When the 360 came out they slagged “M$” for making the 360 games backward compatible only with games that “M$” created a patch for. I don’t think they’ll remember shouting about that now….

Yep, we’re looking down on them now while all our Xbox 1 games work on our 360s (apart from “Barbie death hunt: Chucky kills his own kind” )
