September 17th, 2007 So it was my 30th birthday recently, and we got a new LCD television for the lounge to replace the “HD compatible” rear projection one.
I bought it in good faith expecting to play my XBOX 360 games in high definition, but it seems that “HD compatible” is not the same as the “HD Ready” standard that was brought in shortly afterwards.
For a while now, Laura has been playing her old SNES in the spare bedroom. We heard good things from my work colleague, Paul, about the Nintendo Wii and decided to bite the bullet, bring her into the 21st century, and buy one for each other as a sort of joint early Christmas present.
Definitely one of the best decisions we’ve made. What a laugh, and not just for us. Our parents had a blast too!
