Early Christmas Present

Date September 17th, 2007 Comment No Comments

So it was my 30th birthday recently, and we got a new LCD television for the lounge to replace the “HD compatible” rear projection one. I bought it in good faith expecting to play my XBOX 360 games in high definition, but it seems that “HD compatible” is not the same as the “HD Ready” standard [...]

Date December 6th, 2005 Comment 1 Comment

I’ve been looking at the Windows OneCare beta and it looks to be pretty good. Could this be the foray into the anti-virus arena that the Vole has been threatening? A couple of things though; the beta won’t install if your machine has got less than 256Mb. Oh, and you need to register.

Quad SLI?

Date September 23rd, 2005 Comment No Comments

There is a website that has pictures of the Gigabyte GA-8N-SLI-Quad Royal running two Gigabyte dual core 3D1 video cards and four 7800GT in SLi. While we can’t vouch for the validity of the pictures we can say that it’d be pretty cool if a board like this was coming out soon. [Via: [H]ardOCP, www.oc.com.tw]
